Keep it simple, have one landing page per promotion, the only navigation on that page should be towards your goal, i.e. gather email addresses, telephone numbers or the purchase or your promotion etc.
2. Use Headings to explain the value of your offer
You have to quickly catch visitor attention these days. You need to make your offer as clear as possible making sure your title contains:
- A clear action (i.e. Download)
- A clear description of your offer (i.e. Download our SEO Guide
- An explanation of the value of your offer (i.e. Download our SEO guide and gain qualified leads)
3. Use images and caption text
Ensure the offer on your page matches the offer in your title, letting the visitor know they have landed on the right page. They are more likely to convert because they were interested in your offer before clicking on your advert.
Images work better than text, a whole story can be told using a simple image, engaging the visitor and make your offer more tangible.
People are far more likely to read the caption text on an image then to read the body text, start adding appropriate images and caption text to your landing page.
4. Create thank you pages
Always remember to thank your visitor for carry out the action you lead them to. One it tells them the transaction has been completed and two you can tell them about other thinks you do, like Subscribing to your Newsletter, Blog or suggesting your website to their friends.
5. Make Your Call To Action Button Engaging
Use an action word within your button "start your free trial now" instead of boring "submit". Not only is it more interesting it also tells the visitor what they are getting.
